The Makin’s Team has just returned from the CHA Summer Show held in Chicago.
The show was a great success and we met many new and old friends alike.
Representing Makin’s at the Walnut Hollow Booth was myself Bill Mangelsen, my assistant Priscilla Chan plus Annie Mangelsen my eldest daughter based in Omaha plus Gail Ritchey Makin’s Design Coordinator and Patty Barnes Makin’s Design Consultant.
We also welcomed a dear friend and the world renowned clay expert Donna Kato who graciously helped demonstrate Makin’s Professional™ line of Professional Clay Tools, Ultimate Clay Extruder® and of course our newly revised Ultimate Clay Machine®. Of course we let her show how her “Kato Clay®” can be used with all the tools. Makin’s and Kato in many ways compliment each other.
It’s really a delightful experience for two so called “competitors” to work closely together.
In reality we should collaborate more to create more clay customers. Our real competitors are all those other things that are competing for people’s time like the internet, sports, videogames, movies and a thousand other things.
Our next trade show will be in Anaheim, CA January 28, 2007. Look forward to seeing you there.
