  • 60g Natural clay
  • 60g Brown clay
  • 60g Blue clay
  • 60g Black clay
  • 60g White clay
  • 60g Green clay
  • 60g Yellow clay
  • 120g Red clay

  • Other Materials:
  • 1 piece of 8” Red Ribbon or Gold Cord
  • Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
  • Black Pen

  • 1. Roll out a thin piece of clay from a pack of 60g Makin’s Black clay to make the penguin’s head. Make it into a triangular shape and use Makin’s Brand™ Mallet make the round corners. Slightly press down the eyes areas.
    2. Take out a piece of clay from a pack of 60g Makin's White clay, roll it into a piece of thin flat clay and use Makin’s Brand™ Mallet to cut out the penguin’s face.

    3. Place the White clay of the face on the penguin’s head.

    4. Mix a thin piece of Yellow clay and Red clay to produce the orange color using Makin’s Brand™ Clay Mixing Ruler (F(Yellow clay) + E (Red clay)). Roll it into a cone and slightly press it to make the penguin’s mouth.

    5. Stick the penguin’s mouth on the face. Draw a line for the mouth of the penguin using Makin’s Brand™ Chisel.

    6. Roll out a thin piece of Natural clay to make a small round ball and a rectangle. Roll out a little Red clay in teardrop shape and bend the pointed side downward to make the hat, use the Makin’s Brand™ Mallet to shape and smooth.

    7. Stick the small round ball at the end of the Red hat and stick the rectangle between the hat and the penguin’s head. Use Makin’s Brand™ Mallet to shape the details of the hat. Then, use a black pen to draw the penguin’s eyes.
    8. Take out about 2/3 of the clay from a pack of 60g Makin’s Brown clay to make the tree trunk, make it wider on the lower part.
    9. Use Makin’s Brand™ Mallet to press a hole and mark the tree grain.
    10. Mix Blue clay and Green clay to produce the Dark Green color using Makin’s Brand™ Clay Mixing Ruler (F (Blue clay) + F (Green clay)) totally four times, then, roll it as the leaves using Makin’s Brand™ Roller, keep the thickness at 1mm. Cut the tree skirt with Makin’s Brand™ Mallet.

    11. Use Makin’s Brand™ Mallet to make the leaves grain.

    12. Prepare 4 different sizes of leaves and stick on the tree trunk with the smallest one on top.

    13. Roll out a thin piece of Yellow clay, then, use Makin’s Brand™ Clay Cutter (Star – small size) to make a star.

    14. Stick the star on the top of the tree with white glue. Roll out thin pieces of Blue clay, Yellow clay, Red clay and Purple clay as the decoration ribbons. And, roll out a thin piece of Pink clay to make a butterfly knot and stick on the tree trunk.

     

    15. Roll out a thin piece of White clay and a thin piece of Red clay to make two spaghetti-like tubes.
    16. Twist the White and Red tubes together to make a candy stick.

    17. Finish the candy stick.

     

    18. Repeat Step 1 to Step 7 to prepare three more penguins, then, stick on the tree. Roll out thin pieces of Blue clay, Yellow clay, Red clay and Purple clay to make scarfs and stick them on the penguins’ necks. Stick the candy stick on the tree
    Final. Pierce a hole on the top of the tree. Thread with a thin red ribbon or gold cord through the hole in the clay. Write names to personalize.
