Procedure:
1. Makin's Clay dries in the air. Depending on
its consistency, it will dry within 24 hours. Take some
small pieces of natural coloured Makin's Clay. Dab and
wipe these pieces on a colour cube from the chalks kit.
Thoroughly mix the powder and the clay and produce four
different hues in this manner. Store them carefully
in a plastic container. Push fragments of clay into
the push-mould and turn it over. This way you can see
what's going on inside the mould. Push the superfluous
clay along the edge and back into the mould. The push-mould
is flexible; push the shells out of it a small way.
2. For the brooch, stick 3 shells onto one another
with a little water (see photo). Pass a few hat pins
through the shells and let them dry.
3. Highlight the shells a bit by colouring them
with chalk. Varnish the shells with the Aleene's satin
varnish, if desired.
4. For the chain, cut 3 equal lengths of steel
wire and, for the armband, 2 equal lengths of steel
wire. Thread the beads and the shells onto the steel
wires and stick the ends down with a piece of sticky
tape.
5. For the chain, thread (4 times) 6 rainbow
beads onto the wires followed by some small shells (with
3 beads between each pair of shells).
6. Then thread on (4 times) 6 rainbow beads (see
photo). For the armband, thread on some shells with
3 beads in the middle. Pass the ends of the steel wire
through a squeeze bead and then through the small ring
of the small clasp.
7. Pass the steel wire again through the squeeze
bead and pull it tight.
8. Flatten the squeeze bead with the bent pincers
and cut off the remaining length of steel wire.
9. Likewise, for the earrings, thread some shells
and beads onto pieces of steel wire and fix these to
the ear pins using squeeze beads.
10. Turn the brooch upside down (horizontal)
and glue the pin brooch with the two-part epoxy to the
back of the shells.
