Procedure:
To make the necklace, bracelet and earrings, knead orange,
green, blue, and pink clay into small supple balls, in
different sizes.
Chain: Mould and shape 2 green clay balls until
you get perfect ovals. Roll out a piece of clay, about
0.5 cm thick, and make round bead shapes in it (6 of them)
with the apple corer. With a wooden skewer, make some
small holes in the middle of these beads. Make 4 triangles
with the pink clay and 8 small oval beads with the blue
clay. With the wooden skewer, make some small holes in
the other beads. Then, press the small blue clay balls
onto the green ovals and small green clay balls onto the
blue ovals (see photo). With the orange clay, roll out
a slab, 0.5 cm thick. From this slab of clay, cut out
the shape of the middle piece of the chain. Make a hole
in the middle of this orange shape with the apple corer.
Use the wooden skewer to make two small holes on both
sides. Embellish the orange shape on top and all around
it with some tiny blue clay balls. Let the clay beads
air dry and thread the beads from the middle orange one
onto a black and turquoise leather shoelace (see photo).
Bracelet: The bracelet is made in the same manner
as described above. Make 5 orange, 3 blue triangular,
3 pink ovals and 3 round green beads. Thread them onto
a salmon-coloured leather shoelace.
Earrings: Make two large drop shapes in blue clay.
Make a hole in the middle of both drops with the apple
corer and embellish the hole (on both sides, all the way
around) with small green clay balls. Push a long pin vertically
through the hole of each earring. Snip it off, 1.5 cm
from the top of the earring, and bend it into an eye.
Attach such an eye to each earring hook. |
