1.
Take about 3 /4 of a 60 gm pack of Neon
Yellow clay (wrap up the remaining clay and place in an
airtight container for future use). Roll out a 25cm long
tube of Neon Yellow clay (15mm thickness) using the Makin's
Brand Roller. Keep the thickness at 15mm. Either lay the
long "snake" on top of a prepared drawing covered by clear
PVC, or cover the frame with a sheet of clear PVC and
lay on top of the frame in a "snake" fashion as you see
in the picture, making a oval shaped "coil" with a head
sticking out at the edge. Press down very slightly so
that the back of the snake is flattened to fit to the
frame. Leave to partly dry while you make the decorations.
|
 |
2.
Roll
out 2 small balls (approx. 8 mm diameter) of White clay
for the eye balls. Add black dots for the eyes with the
black pen. Cut a very small piece of Red clay for the
tongue and cut out a triangle at one end to create a forked
'tongue'. Attach these to the snake's head.
Next, take 1/5 of each 60 pack of Neon Orange, Blue and
Neon Pink clay (Use more colors if you prefer.). Roll
out each color clay individually to form 3 sheets (1mm
thin) using the Makin's Brand Roller.

 |
|
3.Place
the Neon Orange, Blue & Neon Pink clay sheets on top
of each other in layers and trim them into a rectangle
shape (5cm wide, 6cm in length) using the craft knife
|
 |
| 4.
Tightly roll up the rectangular layers into a spiral log
(approx. 13mm diameter). |
 |
5.
Wait
at least 20-30 minutes for the log to dry and cut slices
into 1mm thicknesses. Place the spiral slices randomly
onto the snake's body, securing them with white glue.
Wait around 20-30 minutes for the log to dry and then
slice into flower shapes of 1~2 mm thickness.
|
 |
| Final.
Now that the snake body is half-dry; glue the snake onto
the wooden frame, after removing PVC sheet. Leave overnight
in the open air until completely dry. |
