Procedure:
1. First of all, degrease the glass with kera cleaner.
Treat the glass with a thin coating of Frost Color gold.
Use the spongy side of the scourer and apply the frost
color in a broad, sweeping action. Cut the vellum into
pieces which, in your judgment, are roughly the same
size as the glass container (see picture).
2. Cut some 1 cm-wide strips out of a sheet of double-sided,
self-stick film. Remove the protective layer on one
side and stick the strips all around the backs of the
pieces of vellum. Remove the other protective layer
from the 1 cm strips and then stick the pieces of vellum
onto the glass container (with a c/c spacing, between
adjacent pieces, of 4 cm).
3. Roll out a sufficient number of thin slabs of terracotta-coloured
clay (max. 1 mm thick). Cut these slabs of clay with
the cutting roller to size, i.e. 5 cm wide and not less
than 20 cm long. Let the strips of clay dry for an hour
and, after that, punch them with the mosaic punch. To
do this, put the punch upside down and punch the motif.
Remove the small amounts of residual clay from the punch
and carefully slide the strip sideways so that the punched
motif is only half visible. Punch the motif once more.
Punch all the clay strips in the same manner.
4. Stick the clay strips onto a sheet of double-sided,
self-stick film and then cut it out to the exact size.
Take a piece of yellow clay and push this in the leaves
shapes of the push-mould. Wipe green/yellow chalk over
them with a sponge stick and dislodge them from the
mould. Stick the leaves with some water onto the glass.
